A little about Wulf the Saxon.

Here’s our oldest daughter’s telling of the adventure ~

Sixteen year-old Wulf of Steyning, a messenger for the Earl of England, finds himself being shipped back to his homeland after a small verbal dispute with the Bishop. After learning his lesson and staying in Steyning for quite a few years, Wulf is summoned back to England to presume his duties under the Earl. An excursion at sea leads Wulf and the Earl Harold’s servants along with Harold himself shipwrecked and captured by the enemy. After a daring escape, they find themselves at war with the Welsh. Wulf, being very skilled in warfare and battles, leads the Englishman to victory. The Englishman go on to fight several more battles and conquer the enemies. A major turn of events forces the new king to marry a princess from another land whom she is NOT the woman he loves.

A word of caution.

The adventure does deal with wars and battles. Because these audio dramas have such magnificent sound effects, the vibrant battles scenes are a bit intense. If you have a young child or even a sensitive child these scenes may scare them.

Fantastic Ways to Listen.

Heirloom Audio Adventures are great for Road-Schooling. If you are planning a long road trip or are expected to be in the car for a lengthy amount of time, popping in an audio adventure is a great fix to car boredom. The story sounds amazing when it’s played in surround sound – such as what your car produces.

History, when read from a text, can sometimes get stale or boring. If you are not a fan of reading historical based literature, this is a great way to learn without the overwhelm or dryness. Pop the adventure in during free play or while going for a walk. It’s a great way to learn a little about Christian History, as well.

Our Final Thoughts!

As mentioned above, we were NOT disappointed. Heirloom Audio delivered greatness once again.

When our kids hear that there’s a new audio adventure released from Heirloom Audio they genuinely get excited.
During our last audio drama review we joined the Live The Adventure Club where we receive bonus content for each of the Audio Drama’s released. The bonus content often consists of an e-book, MP3 download, printable poster, study guide and discussion starters, and more.

Live The Adventure Club is full of valuable resources, projects, podcasts, and even an engaging community forum. I look forward to perusing the site weekly. There’s always little nuggets of greatness there.

Now we wait for the NEXT ONE!
